Place your bets on muskrat chickening out.

Stewart is going to rip him a structurely superfluous behind.

If he doesn’t chicken out, he might storm out mid interview when John absolutely stomps on every misleading or false thing he says and pushes him to actually define his role in DOGE which could open him up to legal trouble (if that term meant anything anymore)

Jon would “win” if it happened, but it won’t matter.

After seeing Trump utterly dog walked across the stage in his debate performance and still win the election, I have lost any remaining faith that some great Aaron Soorkin-esque moment will change a fucking thing in this country.

It would be entertaining though; so that’ll be fun.

Here’s how it’s going to go down:

    • Jon will ask pointed questions.
    • Elmo will respond with rhetoric, lies, half-truths, incendiary nonsense, &/or dumb jokes.
    • Jon will call him out on his bullshit.
    • Elmo will respond with more rhetoric, lies, half-truths, incendiary nonsense, &/or dumb jokes.
    • Jon will be appalled at Musk’s lack of integrity, ethics, intelligence, or humility.
    • The next day, right-wing pundits will spin it as a victory for Musk - saying he made Stewart “speechless and dumbfounded” with his amazing performance.

Oh holy shit what a take down. That ending was incredible. I’d be terrified of one day meeting Jon Stewart and accidentally voicing an opinion within earshot just in case he takes issue with it.

God damn, thanks for this link. I’m not sure how I missed this year old video. I wish I could keep my cool as successfully as Stewart does in situations like this.

It’s amazing how surgical he is while you can see he is literally shaking from anger. It’s like the anger just adds fuel to the fire of his rhetorical wit.

How the heck did I miss this entire series? I’ve been pining for Jon since 2015, was overjoyed that he’d taken over Monday’s again, and had no idea that he’d been doing a program already. Oy.

Have you seen the current speaking ability of Musk? I’d be surprised if he produces a single coherent sentence.

I hope Jon Stewart really pushes him through his filler speech and reveals Musk as stupid as he actually is.

Tho I still dont think this will happen. Musk would have to be incredibly stupid to accept this, like even more stupid than he actually is.

Replace Elon’s rhetoric/lies/dumb joke non-responses with incoherent babbling and the right-wing will still say he “owned that lib”.

If anyone can do this it’s Jon Stewart. I know he’s mentioned on several occasions that he doesn’t have any political ambitions whatsoever, and he’s been true to his word. But sometimes circumstances allow great men to take great leaps, and on rare occasions, do great things.

The fact that The Hill is already running a piece trying to play him off as a comedy star from an era that has all but vanished due to the corporate landscape, is all I need to know to believe what he has to say. They’re already trying to downplay and dismiss the results before they’ve occurred.

What are the terms of the interview? Will it be in person in front of an audience, via webcast, in front of the burning reichstag, etc…

It’s on cable and it’s aired late enough that they would not have to censor anything if they didn’t want to. It’d be great if Musk tried that and they just let it all go.

It’s on cable but the advertisers are less concerned with what is legal and more concerned with not supporting programs that air objectionable language like racist terms. The censors also cate about that.

Just keep his security goons away from the production facilities and equipment. In fact, they should hire three times the amount of security Musk has. Just remember, they have been deputized by the U.S. Marshall Service, so they have the power to arrest people.

The thing I hate though is whenever someone interviews Elon it seems like they can’t help but crawl right up his ass. If you wanna see real cringe look at Bill Maher’s interview with him. Now he criticizes Elon, but when he had him on I’m pretty sure he was what that AI video of Trump and Elon was trained on.

Maybe stew beef is different, but I figure if Elon detects he can’t get the interview he wants he’ll bail.
