I blame social media. Though not specific social medias like Facebook or twitter, but the general concept of social media. I think people in general are easily manipulated in a social level (not just Americans, but everybody). But social media allows this to happen en mass and personalized to every single person. With minimal effort.

It’s almost like social media was designed specifically to enable fascist agendas.

I get the mentality, but that’s the problem with enshitification. It always starts good, but once all the twitter traffic moves over, and the world becomes dependent on BlueSky the way it still is for Twitter, what do they become next?

It would be better to push people away from the closed platform and towards the actual open platform.

Edit: maybe BlueSky is open source. In such case, if they start fucking around, maybe it would be simple to fork this source code and form your own community. I think until other instances gain tractions, it is hard to consider BlueSky comparable to mastadon.

Bug, not a feature.

What’s the best alternative? I have a fire cube, and I’m getting sick of it. Apple TV? Is there a FOSS solution that’s close to the same quality interface?

They’ve changed it in the last 2 hours. When I clicked the link before, it redirected to the DEI link that had a 404. Now you click the link and it works just fine.

So as of now they fixed it, but it’s absolutely crazy that they did this.

Edit: Just worth noting that the DEI url now redirects to the non DEI url. This is just the leftover evidence of what they did. They have to do the redirect so Google SEO will update.

Are they saying the doors were not damaged and still didn’t open? I could see the doors being damaged and resulting in them not opening. I’m sure that’s common.

I was excited to see what it could do on my iPhones but so far I have not liked anything. The notification summaries are useless, for instance.

I do wonder if AI is being used in the background in ways I don’t see, but I doubt it.
