With a few simple modifications, this baby will be able to go off some sweet jumps.

My money is on the baggage handlers completely destroying everything.

Thing gets at least like three feet of air.
there goes 40lb of the 50lb weight limit
I saw a functional one for sale past customs in the Duty free shop in Singapore. Make of that what you will
FWIW I’ve never had my carry-on weighed
They do in Europe. It’s annoying. I had to rearrange stuff amongst four carry-ons while standing in front of the check-in counter because one of them was too heavy. It would have all evened out and they knew that because they weighed all of them, but they still made me do it.
Considering how many aviation disasters are a result of incorrectly weighing passengers and luggage, in addition to incorrect weight distribution, I can understand the caution
Okay that’s fair, I hadn’t really considered distribution on a plane. Still a bit silly when my carry-on was going to end up right next to my kid’s much lighter carry-on in the overhead bin, but whatever! I also know that policy is easy to lean on when consistently enforced. I did it in any case, even if I grumbled about it. (I was still nice to the agents though!)
The thing in the image is too big to be a carry on
At the risk of sounding like an ad, the “Elala Pro Rideable Carry-On” is 21.3 x 9.1 x 20.5 inches
Edit: the one in the larger top image is the “Master” model at 24.5 x 11.1 x 23.3 inches
It’s technically a little wide but the carryon I use is technically wider than allowed and they don’t care unless you’re in the last boarding groups of a full flight
Can’t ask you to check your carry on, I guess.
How come his has a backrest?
After hours of scrutiny, I’ve determined that the product in the top (the Elila Master) is different than the one on the bottom (the Elila Pro)
YSK: If you have mobility problems, you can call ahead or just ask for assistance and the airline will provide a wheelchair and an escort to/ from the gate.
Edit: this is a free service AFAIK, but handing your escort a five or ten bucks is polite.
What’s the ethics of pretending to have mobility problems for a fun ride?
In the name of fun with no downsides? No problem.
Actual cripple unable to get somewhere because you’re doing burnouts at gate 12? Actually fuck it totally worth it.
It’s not that kind of escort.
If you can still sleep at night, none.
Heaven forbid anyone should ever walk
“The entire empire has sunk into a quagmire of extravagance from which they cannot extricate themselves” — Some random quote from the internet.
“The excesses of a decaying society” -too lazy to look it up
I like how the picture has a completely different seat that wouldn’t be able to travel with the suitcase. Also an entirely different design overall.
Didn’t you hear? Advertisers are now using AI to make products look more appealing regardless of what they actually look like.
Reason #1337 to install an ad blocker.
Great for jousting on those moving walkways (not absolutely necessary but more speed, more fun) if you find another traveler with one and come up with something to use as a lance. Really helps pass the time on a long layover.
Ok, now I actually want two so I can joust with my kids
That’s going to be a reaally long layover.
Only if they can catch you.
i remember going to car shows as a kid, and people had these but ice coolers for drinks and snacks
A small price to pay to become the envy of the airport.
I saw someone drifting one of these bad boys through a terminal and a pilot got out of his way.
