If there’s anything we can depend upon, it’s the Willamette Velley interdiction to meeting corporate greed, and I love it. Represent. I’m there.

LOL! Thank you France for developing an angled blade. Although the horizontal blade may not be a bad idea for the murdering bastards.

Sorry, bit of an amateur here. What’s the difference between the angled and straight blades? Besides the angling of course. Is one more efficient than the other?

Again, my apologies for my ignorance, most of my decapitations are done with chainswords.

think of cutting food in your kitchen. slicing cuts better than chopping. an angled blade is similar to a slicing motion.

really it’s more that the cut starts at a smaller area than all at once.

I believe that an angled blade would create a more thorough cut as it’s a smaller point of contact for cutting. So it’ll cut through ligaments, maybe even vertebrae. Where as a flat one it is initially a small point that gets bigger which requires more force to go through the neck further.

My understanding is the angled blade introduces a force more like slicing and chopping at the same time

If it’s for his penis, the blade will completely miss, as currently designed, even if he grinds hard into the hole.

Why would he assume it was for him? Unless he knows he has done something to warrant it.

When I see a gullotine, it doesn’t make me nervous. Cause I know it’s not for me.

His reaction is admission of guilt.

To be fair if you have read anything about the guillotine you may realize that it doesn’t necessarily matter if it’s for you. Once people start using that thing it seems to be like a bag of lays chips.

This is the 4th time I’ve seen a post about this the past week with a top comment saying exactly the same (just with different words). It feels like being back on the latter years of reddit. And please don’t misunderstand me, I don’t disagree with you or the other three top comments about this at all, it’s just a new experience here on lemmy that mirrors what I’ve seen on reddit and other places before that which weirdly worries me. It’s this feeling of “this place has gotten too big or too divided to a point where the same thread happens over and over within a very short amount of time”.
But I’m gonna be clear about thinking it’s very possibly just my brain doing the weird shit it does and it not actually being a bad sign or the state of lemmy.

Lemmy is very left leaning. You are likely to hear many leftist view points repeated.

Reddit used to be mostly left but due to censorship in the last 2 years it’s mostly overran by bots and sock puppet accounts.

It wasn’t the leftist that ruined reddit. Quite the opposite.

Understanding that people are mad at you isn’t the same as accepting guilt, what are you talking about? Like I’m not saying he isn’t guilty as sin, but I highly doubt he has that level of self awareness.

        That’s fair.

Surely he knows people don’t want these data centers. And is fully aware that he’s using underhanded unethical tactics to get it approved despite this.

But maybe I’m giving these people more credit than they deserve.

Most people with no ethics actually believe that what they do is fine and not wrong.

Honestly, I don’t think these people really think in terms of morality at all. They never even consider what they should or shouldn’t do, only what they can do.
