If only conservatives weren’t so focused on the economy the economy would be doing better. :(
I think this is all a conspiracy to make the price of a foot long seem cheaper. Big sandwich with the full support of Subway is manipulating the U.S. into performing atrocious acts to drive up fuel prices. Thus when you see the cost of a sub, you’ll be like huh… That’s actually not that terrible. /s
Diesel is over $7/gal, it’s fucking wild out here.
I got a big pay bump last October and I felt like for the first time since the 00’s I was finally out of the “just getting by” pay curve for Bay Area California and then this Iran war shit happens and now everything including gas is more expensive, clawing back all the gains I’ve made.
At least there’s a chance things might go back to normal if this shit ever ends, but I expect that prices are going to stay high long after the justification for raising them vanishes, just like with inflation.
I left California 35 years ago and never looked back. The prices were too high then, and have gotten exponentially worse since. The people are all fake and full of themselves.
Ha! Take that liberals! /S
Diesel in Denmark is 11.2 USD/gallon … but do keep complaining about your luxuriously low gas prices, which BTW was caused by the POTUS too many Americans couldn’t be bothered to vote against.
but if Kamala won, all those Palestinian children would die!
she’s just as bad as Trump!
this is what they actually believe
In Canada where I live, diesel is 9.2 USD/G converted, but can reach much higher (10.5$+) in other regions on Canada.
I couldn’t help but notice there’s a different price for cash and card, is that normal in the States?
Yep. Back around 2013 when the national credit rating slid down it became legal/not prohibited to do so after a lawsuit.
It’s normal with independently-owned fuel stations. Not so much with corporate chains.
It fell off for awhile but came around during COVID. It used to account for card back in the day, now AI think gas stations are just running shit under the table.
I rarely see it in Canada. I’ve only seen it at farmers markets. I did a quick search and apparently it is fully legal, just uncommon. As long as you either advertise the highest cost or clearly explain the different cost levels (like in the OP) it’s fine apparently. The more you know.
Oh yeah you see it a good bit in other cases. Usually just a flat 25 cent additional charge for card, it’s just gas that I think is cooking the books in particular.
Fuck it just replace every 9 with a 9/10.
FWIW in SoCal I’m seeing lows around $5.30
I saw $6.79 a gallon for regular being advertised on a sign by the highway.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Thank God for Costco.
$5.10 a gallon for premium and 5% cash back because I have their credit card.
only about 50 cents less in Portland atm.
Sex number.
Be glad. Here fuel costs around 8-9 dollars equivalent for the same amount, thanks to your senile president.
I’m from the bay area. In Hawaii currently. Gas is cheaper here in the middle of the ocean
I snapped this at a local station in MA this morning, luckily it’s for my work truck so I’m not paying for a truck getting probably 8mpg filled twice a week

A little unfair since Chevron is often 50 cents to a dollar more, but it’s still pretty bad. 5.60 a gallon at the cheapest. We still tax our gas though.
