IIRC, he does indeed perform the stunt, taking a laxative then going running in his underwear. Someone sees this and calls the police, who arrest him - underpants, feces-covered legs and all.

First time I went to a marathon to cheer on a friend, within about 5 minutes I saw an old dude with a shit stream running down each leg.
It’s more common than one assumes.
If i attempted a marathon i wouldn’t shit myself.
My body would fail me and i would fall over dead after 10 minutes of running
And then i would shit myself, but posthumous doesn’t count
