Snoop continued, “I didn’t come here for this shit! I just came to watch the goddamn movie!” He added, “Fuck me, I’m scared to go to the movies. They’re throwing me in the middle of shit that I don’t have an answer for.”

Sounds like a “You” problem, Snoop.

he sounds like a 55 year old white woman. putting his head in the sand, cause that sure gonna make everything go away that he doesnt agree with.

just seen his new video clip yesterday, and its 100% ai generated. looks like he is rather selective about the new world.

If you have to explain lesbians to your kid you’ve already failed. Adults are free to love other adults. How’s this so fucking complicated???

My parents had to explain “lesbians” to me because I didn’t know the word

The concept of women living each other was just implicit

Edit: love the single downvote from some bigot that wandered in here. Hey, feel free to comment, champ!

        hydrophobia isn’t fear of water.

        Yes, it is.

Classically exhibited as a symptom of rabies, which is probably what you’re thinking.

words do not decompose that way.

        Yes, they do.

          hydrophobia isn’t fear of water.

          Yes, it is.

Oh, jesus christ. 98% of the time, “hydrophobia” does not refer to fear of water.

words do not decompose that way.

          Yes, they do.

Oh, jesus aitch fucking christ. No, they do not. You cannot divine the meaning of a word you’ve never seen before by breaking it down into sub-word units of meaning. That’s just not how the English language works. You can get some hints, but you cannot definitively know what a word means, and darn you for making me say something that basic and obvious out loud.

Words used in medical terminology (Like many areas of science) were made using specific latin roots for a reason you numpty, and the reason why is so the definition is clear and set, and there won’t be some idiot insisting a word means something it doesn’t.

Take hypoglycemia for example. Hypo: Low Glyc: Sugar -emia: In blood.

Just try to divine what hypoglycemia could POSSIBLY mean given that information. It’s a bit more than a fucking hint.

Dermatitis? Derma: Skin -itis: Inflammation. Sweet JESUS what ever could dermatitis mean?!?!?

Next you’re going to tell me pericarditis, containing the roots Peri (Around) Card (Heart, Cardio) -itis (inflammation) means inflammation around the heart! Insanity!

So what ever in WORLD could a medical condition named HYDROPHOBIA ever mean?

Oh, jesus christ. 98% of the time, “hydrophobia” does not refer to fear of water.

Perhaps true. What would you call somebody who was afraid of water, though?

You cannot divine the meaning of a word you’ve never seen before by breaking it down into sub-word units of meaning.

You absolutely can for many, many words.

Not all words, of course. And some words, like hydrophobic, gain additional meanings over time.

you cannot definitively know what a word means

Sure, but this is a new standard that you seem have come up with in your rage.

It’s easier to explain how a lesbian couple can give birth to a baby than it is to explain how an invisible man in the sky made someone pregnant 2000 years ago, but it didn’t stop snoop from becoming a born again Christian.

Typical old man s***. Zero ability to self reflect.

Here’s an interesting excerpt from an intervention he was given by Dionne Warwick.

“I told them, I said, ‘You guys are all going to grow up. You’re going to have families. You’re going to have children. You’re going to have little girls. And one day, that little girl is going to look at you and say, ‘Daddy, did you really say that? Is that really you?’ What are you going to say?’” she added.

Being uncomfortable around LGBT I can understand. It’s dumb, you’re dumb, you’re stupid, but I somewhat understand. You’ve been brainwashed for decades and need a minute to adjust… I guess?

    But scared?

And of all beings, snoop Dogg? Wasn’t he pretending to be a bad ass gangsta rapper?

    Afraid?

Afraid of two people holding hands?

Afraid of seeing a woman who might have some manly facial features?

Afraid of generally just really nice people living their lives?

Afraid of two (or holy hells, maybe… Even three!??) people that just love each other and live together in the same home and maybe like to do things together in the privacy of their own home that you maybe would not do?

AFRAID OF WHAT, YOU SHIZZLE FUCK?

He isn’t afraid of gay people.

He is afraid of having to have the conversation with his grandkid about gay people having a baby due to the content of a kid’s movie.

Sort of like how a grandparent would be uncomfortable discussing procreation with their grandkid. Shit, parents are uncomfortable discussing that with their own kids and that is a far easier and more straightforward thing than discussing sperm donors.

He is scared that a kid’s movie will inspire questions that he is uncomfortable answering as a grandparent.

Why is the assumption by these people that there is a sexual component required in the explanation? Age appropriate explanations are easy.

“Know how some families have one mommy and one daddy? Some families have two mommies or two daddies instead.”

If the kids ask about the actual mechanics of procreation they are old enough to hear something like:

“Some couples adopt or they find someone to have a baby with who helps them make a family.”

Was there any need to mention surrogacy or donors? No. Kids don’t need to oversexualize queer people. Adults don’t need to over sexualize queer people! When people are sheltered from our existence until they are in their early teens they tend to think of gay couples as explicitly just sexual relationships rather than romantic or family building ones that are as dynamic as straight relationships because they were introduced to them as a sexual mechanics first kind of way. It’s dehumanizing.

Aw fuck. Why, man? Just why?

To those that don’t know, Snoop Dogg has been making a lot of material for kids lately. He has a YouTube channel (called “Doggyland”) designed for preschoolers. That means he actually does have an audience these days, even if they’re far too young for Lemmy.

I used to think, “Aw cute, becoming a granddad has inspired him to create educational videos. He even gets to explore his new Bow Wizzle fursona!” (I mean.)

But this, this takes back all the joy. I wouldn’t be surprised if some parents who hear about this decide to unsubscribe and/or block his channel.

It’s mixed. There’s the two major sides of that coin that I would split the style into and one is hyper materialistic and sexualized while the other is full of political commentary and sometimes even talks about mental health problems among other things. Like, while I’m sure you can find examples of both from any one artist there’s for sure a stark difference between Snoop here and A Tribe Called Quest.
