It’s unclear how such an action would help lower U.S. borrowing costs.

WTF? If anything we should be raising them.

Also, any “jobs report” under this administration is extremely sus.

Considering they fired the last person who objected to falsifying the report, I would say they’re deliberately fabricated.

Well yeah, it’s the smart thing to do and prevents runaway inflation, but it’s unpopular because it takes money away so he’s gonna push for the opposite

I’m familiar with the book. I love books and I love reading. The two books I will never read are trump’s book and hitler’s book. I believe trump has only read one of them (or at least had someone explain it to him).

There have been lots of questions about tiny-d donnie’s connections to the mob over the years.

If so, it would explain a lot about the way he goes about trying to make “deals” (lol).

What…? Seriously, like… what the actual fuck…? Is he threatening to nuke the economy by executive-ordering a halt to international trade if the fed doesn’t do what he says, which is not only deeply idiotic, but also completely unrelated to how bond rates are set…? Is that what’s actually happening here???

Lol, this is wild even for trump BS. I’d call his bluff and let his supporters see the emperor has no clothes.

Trump issued his demands Friday in a lengthy social media post after a stronger-than-expected August jobs report, which could bolster the case for Fed officials to raise rates at their next policy meeting starting Sept. 15.

In his post, the president exhorted his hand-picked Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh, whom he called “great,” and board members to “get smart” and “BE PATRIOTS for a change.”

“LOWER THE RATE OR I’LL STOP TRADING WITH COUNTRIES WITH WHICH WE HAVE A DEFICIT,” Trump posted. “High interest rates put the U.S.A. at a very unfair disadvantage, and I won’t allow that to happen!”

    Fucking what?

I’LL STOP TRADING WITH COUNTRIES WITH WHICH WE HAVE A DEFICIT

So glad we have so much “freedom” that we have donnie dictating how all of commerce works for the whole country. Meanwhile, the ghoulish cons keep acting like Teh SOSHULIIZZMS is coming for all of your freedoms!

Also, donnie the dumb dumb is one of those morons that gets triggered by hearing “trade deficit”. 🙄

Well you see diesel gasoline is at a record high price, so you don’t want people talking about that.

But who knows what this is actually a distraction from.

The Republicans more or less always hold a gun to the head of something normal people care about, but that cons don’t really care all that much about. Most of the time I’m reminded more of Martin Sheen in the end of The Dead Zone when they do this.

This particular instance is wild even by conservative standards, because just about all they care about is unfettered capitalism. I’d like to see everyone call tiny-d donnie’s bluff here and see what happens.
