One of the ugliest cars in an era of ugly cars. AMC, undeterred, followed it up with the Pacer. It easily outuglied the Gremlin.
Ugly it may be, but i long for distinct designs in cars. It’s why i like the kia soul, you can’t mistake it for anything else.
I dislike the Gremlin but dammit, I feel this intensely. Lately, I’ve been feeling this way about car colors. I don’t want a bright green or yellow or orange car… I want some dark blue that doesn’t draw attention to itself. Maybe a gray for the same reason. But looking around at all the black, white, and gray cars, with the occasional navy blue or maroon color has me going crazy and wanting absurdly bright colors again, even if I would never want that for myself.
True, but it’s gotta share dna with nissan cube.
Definitely related to the scion breed, but just different enough to tell at a glance. Like a weasel and a stoat.
Look pugs are ugly and we love them, the gremlin, the pinto and the pacer are just the incredibly awesome (and explosive) pugs of the automotive world
Ah, the Pacer.
I came to comment not to forget the pacer. What a wild time in auto design.
