    The 2000s smelled like new tech plastic, the static from CRTs, microwave dinners, pump hand soap, and grass.

    2010s smelled like hibiscus, then beach sand, then sickly sweet and rubbing alcohol.

    ETA: Gas fumes were also part of the ‘00s
