Did I write this comment? I used to think I just did my best to deliberately waste as little time as possible to balance out all the time I waste involuntarily. Now I realize that I just can’t tolerate being idle, so the moment I initiate some automated process that will take more than a few seconds to complete, I start yet another task while waiting. This looks a hell of a lot more efficient on paper than it does in reality, though…

I love being alone and I wouldn’t want a huge place either. I can keep my thermostat at 61°F/16°C all winter in the evenings and stay nice and toasty on my heated mattress pad next to my dogs. It keeps the gas bill to a minimum even in a colder climate in a house with 100-year-old windows.

Gilmour’s guitar work on that album gives me chills just thinking about it. Even after 30 years, Marooned still teleports my mind to some deserted island every time I hear it.
