I think my brain knows it would solve too many plot points too easily. I’m stuck in a 90s dreamscape where all the pay phones are broken.

Oh, gross. I haven’t seen many videos of him (especially lately) so I guess I hadn’t seen enough of his stuff for his personality to come through.
Why is Musk mad at AsmonGold? Did he dunk on Elon for paying others to play his account?
I just… Fail to see the reason Elon should dedicate his time to fighting with a neet shut in. Asmon turned off donations on his stream. He doesn’t care about money, political influence, or bathing. Just games. What possible gain would there be in trying to mess with him? The richest person to have ever existed in history, in a slap fight with a dude that lives in a dirty hovel? It almost sounds like trying to fight Diogenes.
And exposing his editors isn’t the “gotcha” you think it is. They just protect him from YouTube’s crappy rules.
Old cars could actually have their stuff adjusted, though. You’d have to tinker with the carburator if the weather was significantly colder/hotter, etc. to get it to run properly.
Even cars in the 90s started getting too complex - electronic fuel injection, variable valve timing, and more. There’s no need to adjust the valves because the computer does it, and better than you could.
I used to sell books at Borders (so far before MAGA crap) and you are 100% correct. Most men were reading books as well, but they really didn’t gravitate to Ann Rice’s vampire series, Twilight, or even most mystery books. Is was Sci Fi, fantasy, history, general knowledge sort of stuff.
The sheer volume of women buying romance novels was staggering, and I think speaks more to porn habits than anything. These women kept the store alive long enough for corporate to fuck up and bankrupt themselves.
Now that I think about it, there was a whole row of JUST Star Wars books. But because Disney erased so much of the Expanded Universe canon that they wrote, they all faded away. I don’t even have one in my local Barnes and Noble. Not even a single novel, from what I saw. Everyone totally lost interest and Disney doesn’t care to rekindle that spark.
I expect that he’ll push for some kind of corporate tax credit to companies that have in-person employees. To help tip the scales.
He thinks it’ll increase control, but it’s just as likely to rile up discontent. Especially targeted towards him.
Maybe I suck, cause I typically have to watch the YouTube guide on the fight, and take a few tries to not die/debuff and get it down. And it seemed more complicated than last raid tier, which I was able to just do all of Pandemonium fine. Usually first try.
Maybe it’s better to just wait until they unlock the weekly rewards so you can spam it and get good.
I haven’t even done the last raid. Spent all my time doing ranked CC matches to Crystal rank and took a break until ranged rewards come in after Jan 1st. It’s a very different skill set, and you kind of have to relearn it all when you switch.
That’s a really innovative idea, and solves a lot of transportation problems since phonographs were usually stationary in a house.
However, the size doesn’t fix the problem of carrying around 10" disks to play on it, so the setup is only as compact as its components. Still better than carrying around a cabinet, though!
Computer usage doesn’t determine that you spell it with a k.
A disk is indeed short for diskette, and disc is short for discus.
However, you can absolutely use a compact disc on a computer.
And while there are typically spinning platters or spinning magnetic strips inside hard drive disks or floppy disks, they are referred to by the whole unit as a logical disk drive that you’d see in computer.
If it’s possible to find them all now, you’d see that DVDs, CDs, Blu-ray, laserdisc, are all spelled like discus. 3.5, 4.5 floppy disks, hard drives, solid state drives, tape drives, etc all spell it disk.
So for the most part, being purely observational, you can see that anything shaped like a frisbee with a hole in it will be a disc, and everything else is a disk.
I think that’s slightly different than your explanation, as the terms are mutually exclusive.
It’s probably more sanitary in Japan, but in the US I could see the guy sitting in the both next to me sneezing directly into the water, licking his chopsticks before attempting (and missing) some noodles. Then giving up and using his hands, that he didn’t wash after coming back from the toilet.
Kind of like buffets.
I saw a theory that Charlie was reading “Pepe Silva” from “Pennsylvania” and it would make sense that a lot of the mail would say that.
57% of which tribe? With more than half, I would expect you to have a fairly strong upbringing in the tribe with various customs and your parents likely know how to get you enrolled.
Knowing the dosage is a day’s exposure, and only if you expose yourself to if for an hour, makes me feel much safer about taking it camping once in the be 90s. In general, no one touched it for fear of breaking it.
We’re keeping it in the garage on a shelf, next to a window from now on. With a label.
Thank you!
It’s a “family heirloom” as my grandfather had it in WWII for the 45th infantry. So I wouldn’t want to dispose of it, but I can see my initial fears may be a bit overblown. I’m keeping it on a shelf in the garage, far away from normal foot traffic. That should be more than sufficient, it sounds.
I definitely used it while camping once, but thankfully no one’s messed with it for decades as we wanted to preserve it. I checked the shelf and there’s no residual radiation where it sits, so I think I’ll just let it be. Everyone in the family is aware that it’s the highest radioactive thing in the house, and that it’s still fairly low.
Thank you for your help!
That’s handy and I’m bookmarking it for quick reference. I have one for the Geiger counter, but it’s just numbers and doesn’t have examples.
Thanks!
THAT is… The Question. https://youtu.be/QkEBvqaXXHc
Yes, that helps quite a bit! Thank you!
I don’t really like the Pocket feature, either. It’s nice to know there’s a version without that.
I’ve just heard about librewolf in this developing thread, but I’ve no idea what sets it apart from Firefox. What does it do that Firefox doesn’t?
Edit: your link says it focuses on the same thing Firefox does, to my knowledge, so I’m wondering if there’s something Firefox neglects? Or is it just to keep the field diverse? Which is also good.
I doubt it matters what we think anymore. It barely did before, but I can’t see any light at the end of this American Experiment tunnel.
