Yeesh. Looks like I’ll be on the used pixel ebay plan for a few more years.

I’m disappointed that it will not SHIP WITH Graphene, but at least it will be a VERY HIGH END phone for privacy-minded people who are also very irresponsible with their money. It’s something, but it’s not what I was hoping to learn.

I was really hoping to pay Motorola somewhere around $800-$1200 for a legit option for GrapheneOS that doesn’t involve Google’s hardware.

But at $1600, I don’t think I can justify that.

Oof. I was excited for this, but I think I’m just going to go with a Fairphone with /e/OS at that price point. I don’t think I need the ultra high levels of privacy GrapheneOS has, I just want to get out of the invasive Google/Samsung ecosystem.

How can they even justify the price? Samsung’s flagship “only” costs 1750€ and even Apple is lower at 1850€, and that’s assuming the 1900€ price is for the 512GB variant and not the 256GB where Samsung and Apple would be even cheaper (1550, 1600). Are they really thinking people will choose them over the most popular brands when they are more expensive and less established?

Damn…I didn’t realize phones had gotten so expensive. Curious how much they’re worth after 1 year. Anybody know how much the buyback is for a 1-year old Apple/Samsung flagship?

Maybe they will have some insane incentives with the providers?
And wasn’t one or more coming with Graphene?

I have a pixel 10 with 16gb RAM. Nothing has made changing realistic and likely wont for awhile. I hate AI and only wantgOS and a decent camera.

This is the normal cost of a new phone no? If I were buying an Iphone or a samsung i’d expect to pay around the same price.

Personally, I already balked at the size of the screen (~6.8"). The ridiculous price is just the final nail in the coffin.

      Mini tablets were 7 inches.

It’s ridiculous; how am I meant to fit something half the size of my dick in my pocket?

Just let it hang and sway, let it out bro. This is 🦅 America 🇺🇸, bitches! gunfire, big macs showering from the sky, and jets flying over in formation

(and if you don’t live here then we can bring you some freedom too, and you too can let your freak flag fly)

No thanks. I live in a country freer than the US, you guys keep all that to yourselves.

I’ve always been a fan of Motorola - my current phone is the Edge plus and is 3 years old. Had to replace the battery but otherwise a solid phone. My phone budget has been as high as $500 but will never exceed that. 2k for a phone in this economy is beyond unacceptable. Its moronic. Still a phone and nothing special - just incremental improvements. I dont see this selling.
