At this rate we‘ll have fully automated companies going full slob by the end of the decade. Their customers? Probably also AI bots. If any.
And just like that stocks are rising again. Trump and his closer circle commited the biggest case of insider trade in history right now and his top trade official wasn’t part of it apparently.
Yup. If 1% of all requests result in failures and even cause damages, you‘ll quickly lose 99% of your customers.
Asking to prove a negative? More like stupidfy CEO.
Edit: I have been told that plumbers don’t qualify as unskilled, and as such they have been exchanged for painter.
I’d argue painters aren’t unskilled either. Are you thinking of blue collar workers perhaps?
Sad, disturbing and sadly not surprising. I‘ve heard the same is happening on TikTok for a while and probably many other corners of the internet. Just as we gain a better understanding of the matter, some bad actors have to ruin it for everyone.
That‘s how silicon valley has been operating for longer than I live. You bet that‘s what‘s happening as has been happened a million times.
To be fair and I say that as a lifelong gamer: That‘s hardly one of my biggest concerns. I‘ve experienced ridiculous pricing policies in both software and hardware over the last couple years, preventing many of us to get their hands on the latest tech. Like, I will never own a high end computer. But I will also likely never own a house.
What I‘m trying to say is, gaming has been in an awkward spot for a very long time and it‘s still… fine. Paradoxically it‘s cheaper than ever to have a good time with games and the choices are endless even on a tiny budget. It‘ll be fine. We‘re facing much bigger problems in other areas right now.
America is a full blown Oligarchy now. A congress or the law are just a nice facade.
The United States of America. A nation ruled by word salad.
To cut those kings and peasants some slack, medieval kingdoms weren’t nearly as centralized and Kings didn’t have nearly as much power or leeway as the American President. You’re probably thinking of absolute monarchy in the modern age.
While most April fools steal your time and leave you head scratching, this one can potentially give you a lot of time back. I like it.
I somewhat respect that form of protest, actually. Some users fuming over this is probably the point the admins are trying to make. They created a sort of „and then they came for me…“ situation.
I’m not convinced bundling a losing business with an utterly inflated one is the right move to attract investors but then again you shouldn’t invest in an oligarchy in the first place.
Mars colonies are mainly a terrible idea because companies like SpaceX ruin our living space on earth to get ahead. Just look around their launch sites that have transformed once vibrant ecosystems into a post apocalyptic hellscape. It‘s simply unsustainable to ruin a livable planet in order to colonize a dead rock. The whole Mars mission is a scam from that perspective alone. I think even entertaining the idea of a Mars colony and debating about it‘s independence from Earth is missing the point.
It‘s so funny how headlines about this shifted from surprise, to hopeful to now very doubtful in a matter of days.
Legitimately who cares though? You‘re not in it for the money with Reddit either.
Personally I couldn‘t care less about moderator outrage. Just read the room already and leave. No amount of kicking and screaming will take the platform off the hands of technofascists. You‘re clearly not valued there so why would they care if you cry about their decisions? Just grow a spine already.
I see. The next batch of tariff hallucinations is going to be extra spicy…
