The question was about “the world abandoning the US”. What I think is irrelevant, look at the opinion polls in 2005 and 2025.
It’s the same high-control, unhealthy policies though, that includes all the hate on LGBTQ+ people too. That was big in his terms, anti-gay ballot initiatives based on lies that hurt people, that turned out the prejudiced base to elect him and others that caused damage here and abroad.
