The Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz told the Texas Tribune that the jury found no probable cause to move forward in criminal charges against the ICE agent. Attorneys for Martinez’s mother, Rachel Reyes, called the jury’s move “devastating” and questioned what information they were given about the March 2025 shooting.

“We do not know what video evidence they were shown, if any,” Reyes’ attorneys said Thursday. “We do not know if they were shown any statement from eyewitness Joshua Orta, who was clear in a thorough firsthand statement that Ruben’s car was moving slowly and did not hit anyone.”

Orta, 25, died Saturday in a single-car crash in San Antonio

As things go forward, police would be wise to start opposing ICE.

Seriously, as it stands they more often are seen helping and shielding these agents. People are going to turn on them.

The worse DHS/ICE gets, the worse it will be for the police. They can either stand against ICE when they break the law, or the people will stand against them, just as they are beginning to stand united against ICE.

IMO the regular police are scared of ICE. While the cops and ICE are both on team “oppress minorities” the regular police are worried that the new gestapo out rank them. So they’re being very, very careful not to step on ICE’s toes for fear that if push comes to shove ICE’s higher place in the police hierarchy will be formalized.

People holding a grudge can also track/dox them a lot easier, as at most, they would only live a town or two away from their assigned area.

They are pretty much shitting where they’re eating.

Notice how they never name the ICE agents committing these citizen killings.

They name everyone else, except for the killer.

It also showed there was a 460% increase in assaults on ICE officers in that same time period, from five to 28.

Gee, wonder if that’s anything to do with them going out and assaulting[1] US citizens en masse…

    How very convenient for ICE.
