Tetsuo: The Iron Man.
Pure. Fucking.
MagicInsanity.Spiderman 3
I feel like people got the wrong idea based on their criticism of Peter during his descent into evil.
How’s the pie?
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - one of the worst Marvel adaptations, but also one of the most unintentionally funny movies of all time.
Nic Cage trying to stop an old man from getting inside a little boy?
Establishing that any vehicle Ghost Rider drives gets a hellish makeover so they can have a flaming Bagger 288 for an action set piece?
Pure cinema.
Battlefield Earth.
Travolta prancing around a B movie set high AF on scientology will never not be peak.
I rented Doom with The Rock and Karl Urban when it went to video and proceeded to watch it like 6 times.
The Core
It’s so fucking stupid that it is like a Trainwreck you can’t look away from.
And I love it. Its the core or the martian if you don’t know what to watch.
Ice Pirates, I know, I know. But I can’t help it.
Repo! The Genetic Opera. I stopped recommending it after five separate people all said they hated it lol
Struggling with whether to up vote or down vote, because Repo is an amazing movie. Its definitely not for everyone, though, so I would give a recommendation without knowing the person’s taste.
I have to stop and watch Youngblood whenever I come across it.
Naked Space, a.k.a. The Creature Wasn’t Nice. A terrible Leslie Nielson spoof movie from 1981 that looks like it was shot in a weekend for $500, but it’s funny to a point and has some good lines.
Plague dogs. That was the absolutely worst most depressing movie I’ve ever seen. It a masterwork. I don’t even have people in my life I would subject them to the synopsis or “highlights” though, it’s just so bleak.
Watched after Watership Down people recommend them on the same thread. Watership down is just a good story, a little heavy, but good. Plague dogs was much much more bleak then the WW2 allegory for me.
I haven’t seen The Plague Dogs yet, but based on the rating and reviews, this looks like a very good movie and not at all “objectively terrible”!
In fact, I will take the reviews as a recommendation and see it soon! So thanks, I guess :)
Plan Nine from Outer Space, of course.
The first Transformers movie.
The first Transformers was a cultural event almost on par with the first Matrix.
It’s a shame the direction movies went in after it, but at the time it was unlike anything people had seen.
Animated or live action?
I definitely wouldn’t class it as “objectively terrible” but I have been seeing a lot of sentiment that the tonal shift in Click made the movie awful, and if the script had been taken more seriously from the start that it could have been a great movie.
I actually found the movie to be great, it was one of my favourites when it first came out.
Click was what first came to mind for me.
I don’t think the movie is “objectively awful.” I’d wager a lot of people who disagree like considerably worse movies without even realizing it.
Same. Click has this crazy uncomfortable limbo it just keeps the whole movie in, but it is really good.
Hard agree. Love that movie
Resident Evil: welcome to Raccoon City.
I will die in this hill, it’s a decent movie even if it’s not 100% with the source material
