Watching them scroll through the page in the original video was depressing. The ratio of actual content is 10%. (TikTok screencap)

Could you explain about Cosmos? It just said it’s an AI tagging app. Does it have content to review or just a saving tool? I’ve got a bazillion notebook apps but only Pinterest lets me browse text-free for any length of time.

I joke Pinterest is the only app that doesn’t make me cry but it’s because I can work for hours before being interrupted by text boxes or intrusive text ads.

in defence of Pinterest, it’s like any other social media with an algorithm. Once you get it used to what you’re interested in it’s a far better experience than signed out normal recommendations. You just have to put in the time.

    this is my homepage:

no ai, no ads. Compare it to how horrible the YouTube homepage is.

    here’s one of my boards:

essentially everything I post on Lemmy (over 200 posts combined with my .world account) is from Pinterest or Instagram
here’s two examples from today alone: https://sh.itjust.works/post/52987863

they added liking to images (not just videos anymore!) and cool image collages
