For those who hold that spirit “isn’t real”, & therefore it’s delusion to treat meaning/spirit as being autonomously real, as some do…
spirit’s the ONLY difference between a disintegrating-corpse vs a growing-organism: the neutrons, protons, & electrons are mathematically identical between the 2 bodies, so the chemistry-process difference can’t be based on them.
Once one begins studying what LivingSpirit means through different messengers, it takes years to slog through unconscious-mind’s pretences ( THIS is significant!! … why, just because it was an encounter? MEANINGFUL encounters are meaningful: you have to EARN understanding when an encounter is just-circumstance, vs when it is meaningful with Spirit’s meaning.
This learning-process is the same as in any domain: it took me 7-8 years before I got the fluid-dynamics intuition needed to just cut right through all the wrong-design in manufactured sailboats & aircraft: until then, I had jumbled understandings, not profound understanding.
It’s the same in all domains, from what I can see: that “10,000 hours to expertise” rule seems to hold valid. )
Do keep at it, though: knowing that when earwig gets in one’s space/face that something is broken, & we just don’t know yet is useful information! ( earwig isn’t in the book )
or when house-sparrow crashes into one, that HELL is about to trash-up one’s day, but if one holds-steady, it’ll fail to change one’s life to being defined by it ( that’s not in the book, either )
Anyways, the Abrahamic religions seem to believe that LivingSpirit ONLY communicates through humans, … which is narcissism.

LivingSpirit communicates through EVERYthing, with people who are plugged-in to LivingSpirit.
That book is the best basic-basics I know-of.
“Spirits of the Earth” is also good.
Living out in a forest for a few years works well IF one has those books giving one understanding.
Simply being mindful of Nature’s expression works well, if one has patience!
Being born into a culture which already has that kind of thing in it also works well, obviously.
