Since the 1960s, studies have shown that heavy-handed policing and militarized responses tend to make protests more volatile — not less.

A large body of research, spanning more than 50 years, shows that heavy-handed policing and militarized responses to civil unrest tend to make protests more volatile — not less.

Sounds like a great excuse to declare martial law and suspend the constitution.

Probably start at this “parade”. Just leave the military out there and call it “protection from the liberal terrorists”

I suspect the parade was a pretext to shore up defenses around the capital.

You get a parade! And you get a parade! Everyone gets a paraaade!

Such a stupid timeline. We’re burning it all down to feed the ego of a guy who can’t be convinced his fake tan looks like it was mixed from a prison toilet.

I think that might push more people to join, across party lines.

Is this the past that righties want, the subdued public discourse over shooting our own? Cause they can catch shots too.

They’ll only feel more justified in genocide when they catch a few shots. I like to call it the Bibi-Hamas strategy
