Colorado was one of the states that has been very actively fighting Trump’s goons. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out.
I just want to point out that Colorado Springs is the polar opposite of what people think of when they think of Colorado.
Colorado Springs is a military-focused city being the home of the US Airforce Academy. It’s famous for its mega-churches and hosts the headquarters of the extreme right-wing group “Focus on the Family”. Their mayor recently said that people could report anyone they suspected of being an illegal immigrant and the city would investigate it.
DEA has also been quite active recently, seems like more than one investigation is wrapping up.
For example, the landlord of this property said he was really surprised the renters were doing after hours shenanigans, thier lease doesn’t even allow events with alcohol and this was thier last month, he is planninga renovation of the space. So the DEA knows all of this, of course, and raided the place on one of the last nights.
