Feeling “deeply concerned” seems like the extent of what the opposition in the US are capable of right now. Such a bummer to see this as a European, whatever happens in the US affects us as well, yet we have no voting rights.

Yeah. To the exact extent and for the same reasons.

BOTH SIDES, GUYS! I’M SO EDGY!

Nothing happens overnight, and it’s not being edgy to point out how we got here. Bush got us accustomed to an unending wat on, “terrorism,” Obama used drones to target terrorists in any nation without national approval, and now Trump will deport protesters for aiding terrorism and bomb Yemen over signal.

Bush attacked the Press for, “giving aid and comfort,” to our enemies, Obama prosecuted leakers and publishers under the Espionage Act, and now Trump will openly bully publications he doesn’t like with frivolous lawsuits and threats of prosecution. History didn’t start in January.

          Obama was a good president.

His only mistake was not being more brutal to the proto-Maga trash when he had the chance.

But he mistakenly thought they were just concerned Americans, and not monsters pining for Jim Crow.

It’s not my place to tell you how to feel about Obama. He was certainly competent and effective in many ways, and if you feel that makes him, “good,” fine. However, he used drones to assassinate American citizens, he created an opaque drone warfare program that Congress has no oversight over, and he prosecuted more people under the Espionage Act than all other presidents combined, none of whom were actual spies.

Whether you believe he was justified in these actions or not, they have downstream consequences, all of which benefit Trump. When Obama criticizes Trunp for attacking journalists, it is more than fair to point out that hypocrisy. We have an authoritarian president right now, and if we’re ever going to take back power from him, we’ve got to acknowledge how we got here and take corrective action.

His mistake was not using his popularity to absolutely brutalized the vile trash of the south.

Being kind to the monsters is the same mistake we made in the 1800s that lead us here after a century of Jim Crow.

            Medicaid was nice.

Anything more would have been nicer

I think he’s attractive too but he didn’t “change” much

When pressed for comment, trump pardoned a crypto company, hyped his 5 million dollar card with his face on it which bypasses the visa process, and gave every chemical company permission to continue poisoning everyone.

Trump is taking anyone’s money he can and destroying America as quickly as possible in a way that only benefits Russia.

Fuck your concern. I’m OUTRAGED. People need to fucking find a way to fix this.

    “Deeply concerned.” How reassuring.

I still don’t want to think he’s a bad person, but for me, why he is a bad person is because zero “too-big-to-fail” CEOs went to jail during the immediate aftermath of the '08 crisis.

He could’ve nationalized the banks that were underwater. Even temporarily. The DoJ had ample evidence, precedent, and prosecutorial room to make heads roll. He was the one person who had power to do so. “Yes, we can!” became “No, I won’t.”

He’s not the only one in my lifetime to screw the American people, but as a young 25-year-old man, his betrayal stung the most in the wreckage of 2008 into '09. I voted for him. I thought I genuinely liked him.

When it came down to it, he’s actually like all the rest. Socialize the losses; privatize the gains.

Eat the billionaires. Sic semper tyrannis.

I liked Obama, but he (like every president) is a bad person. You cannot be a good person and be president (except for maybe Carter, but he’s something else), because every president is a war criminal to some extent. Obama expanded and normalized the drone bombing of brown people and tons of other awful shit.

Time for the Democrats to seriously consider furrowing a brow or two.

Next week Obama will be escalating his concerns by slapping the podium while talking.
