Hey, y’all! Just another random, loudmouthed, opinionated, Southern-fried nerdy American living abroad.

Ok, no worries! Kbin and lemmy sometimes just freak out, so it’s all good. Thank you for clarifying!
What? Seriously, what? What are you talking about? Who is “they,” the Pew Research Center?
I’d say it’s also that a lot of folks are very invested in making other people second guess if something like this is actually real or if it’s just Black folks with ulterior motives. It makes it easier for more people to dismiss overt racism when it happens.
These are the kinds of games I love, so it’s is a win as far as I’m concerned. Hopefully they’ll start porting their games to PC faster.
Ever wake up and see something that makes you hate humanity before you’ve even gotten out of bed? Yeah, that was this for me.
Dude, what
A lot of the planned release dates got pushed back a year or two because of covid, so add a year to each date to get closer to when things are probably going to actually come out, I reckon.
I haven’t heard about any plans for PS5 Pro, but all that leaks have said what’s coming out is more like a Slim, since it’s going to be smaller, and not have a built-in disk drive. We’ll see, tho.
I do not understand why someone in their dang 90s does not retire. Spend your days like my great-grandma did before she passed: time with your family and drinking whiskey on your porch.
Unity well and truly thought everyone would just roll over on this, and oh boy, were they wrong. They didn’t at all learn from the Wizards of the Coast debacle at the beginning of the year.
Of fricking course.
Microsoft wanting to buy Valve and Nintendo should tell you just how much what they really want is a monopoly on gaming.
I would sooner chew on glass than pay for Twitter.
Cops gotta cop.
Yes, but the problem is it doesn’t federate. A lemmy mod can remove spam on their lemmy community, but there’s no one to remove the spam once it federates to be on a kbin server. That’s why the science community seen on kbin is swarming with spam - the mods on lemmy remove it, but there’s no one to remove it on kbin until Ernest removes it, because communities default to him as the moderator of the kbin magazine version, and no way for lemmy mods to make someone on kbin a moderator for it.

…that’s it. I’m going back to bed. I’ve seen my fill of absurdity for today.
Looking at all the spam on the science community proves you wrong. It’s on lemmy, and the mods smack down all the spam quickly…On Lemmy. But people looking at it on kbin see constant posts of spam and advertising, making the community completely unusable, because the lemmy admins can’t moderate the page on kbin once it’s federated into the kbin server. Likewise, mods on lemmy and kbin might lock comments on a post that’s getting toxic, but that lock doesn’t carry over to kbin, and they can’t do anything about it. That’s the issue I’m talking about.
At this point, I won’t believe Dreadwolf is actually coming out until it’s on store shelves.
I tried playing it because a friend recommended it, and I barely lasted 3 days with it. It is a complete waste of time - you don’t even play it; it plays itself. The games are a Cliff’s Notes version of the original games. I got to it telling me I had to pay to upgrade my weapons past level 30, and I was done.
First person games also make me motion sick, for lack of a better word, because I’ve got permanently screwed proprioception (so less “sick,” more “horribly dizzy”), so I’ve never even dared try VR. I feel like the market is a lot more limited than companies might think it is.
