A leading doctor who threw a backyard party for his sister’s birthday in Queens claims their group was ‘hosed’ with water by a ‘racist’ white neighbor during a noise dispute, according to a lawsuit.
The underlying story here captures the issue of prevelent latent racism. I gave an eye roll when I saw that it was from the Daily Mail (a crappy UK newspaper). They routinely print articles that breed latent racism, but in a way to make people feel reasonable and not at all racist at the same time. Recently they were caught trying to do some “racism laundering”. They’d approached a black writer to be the face of their racist posts that would be produced by ghost writers.
Nothing here sounds racist at all. Sounds like they were being loud and the neighbor decided to hose then down.
