I fully understood their point which is why I replied to them and not the person recommending Velveeta.
Sodium Citrate is frickin awesome.
Velveeta is trash
I’m not a fan of being paranoid.
Look… All I have to say is… Support the Internet Archive!
(please)
That’s a fucking stupid thing to say (or even think).
Fuck that live chat shit… It didn’t belong on Reddit even and just felt forced or shoehorned in because the idiots in charge eventually thought that’s what “social media” should have.
Yeah, that’s some stupid looking shit.
5% at best but I definitely agree… It’s possible for recruiters to be good and step one is being local as well as being experienced and familiar with the local companies and job market.
Those “headhunters” in India are nearly entirely useless anyway so I don’t even bother responding to them anymore… Especially if they aren’t going to include salary ranges.
Recruiting in general needs a fundamental overhaul. People should not be recruiting at all for positions that they themselves have zero experience in. If IT recruiters, for example, were all former IT staff then we’d have a much higher quality pool of applicants since the recruiters would actually know what to look for and what questions to ask for a change.
Yep. You’re fortunate if you get 2 weeks in the US as a general rule.
They definitely exist in the US but they’re not super common in any of the 5 states I’ve lived in…
That said, I’ve had one in a storage unit since my father in law passed away in 2015 in California.
Can’t find anyone who wants to buy the darn thing because it’s so rare for houses or apartments to actually have gas hookups for dryers though.
There was a time when I would have jumped at the chance to work for one of these companies.
Hell, I even interviewed with Google 17 years ago (for a position that I was thoroughly overqualified for).
But, these days I don’t think they could offer me enough money to convince me it would be worth it… Unless there was a HUGE upfront signing bonus that wouldn’t need to be repaid no matter what happens.
They’re shooting themselves in the foot by drastically reducing the talent pool available to them.
It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see how it works out for them.
Well, Joe Rogan is stupid.
So, it doesn’t take much to presume that people who find what he has to say interesting are also stupid.
I really want to see one after it’s hit by a heavy hail storm.
How about instead of worrying about making it more popular we concentrate on making it better?
Eliminate all the shitty worthless content and spammy replies that people brought over with them from the shit hole that shall not be named and focus our efforts on creating quality content that users (particularly the ones that are already here) actually enjoy and engage with.
That’s my two cents on it anyway.
I don’t allow automatic updates for apps because I’ve seen updates break things that were entirely functional too many times so now I only update if something is already broken…
So, I don’t see any of this crap either… And I do occasionally get interesting notifications from it.
But, I’m still getting closer and closer to just ditching it every time I see crap like this.
I have to renew mine in person every 3 years or so.
