Most of what I would have suggested has already been posted by others, but I can say Kruggsmash’s Dwarf Fortress stories do this for me. The Waddlesquash/Kingdom of Autumn series he did (with the pumpkin mod) is particularly laid back, but even the action-heavy series are calming to watch/listen to.

This comic is so true it hurts. Our most recent addition is from a litter of a feral cat that literally fell through our friend’s ceiling. She was tending to her kittens she had hidden in the attic, after finding a way in through a damaged vent or something. This was after I had already saved this comic to my phone and shared it with my partner, btw. I blame myself.

Man what a blast from the past. I haven’t seen these in idk how long but my mom had these when I was growing up. I don’t even remember the stories, but those illustrations were awesome and are among some of my earliest memories of being unnerved by an art style (along with the legendary Scary Stories and the Wizard of Oz series from 1900 with the W.W. Denslow illustrations)

I haven’t followed this as closely as I should have, but I remember seeing a Louis Grossman Rossmann* vid (huge right to repair advocate) essentially throwing his hands up at the New York version of this, as it basically took all teeth out of the bill by providing loopholes for companies to bypass the requirements for “safety concerns.” Is it the same situation in the other states?

I love it! We have a poly (extra “thumbs”) who is part Maine Coon and he grabs my head like a basketball to groom me. He also looks like he’s got chameleon toes when he’s walking around.
