I lucky enough to get my first DSL line in 1997.

Was only paying for 128Kbps down but this was before they actually had any throttling in place, and I was close enough to the DLAM to get 1Mbit down. It was mind-blowing at a time when a 1.44Mbps T1 line was $1000+/month pipe dream!

At this point I vote we forcibly remove EVERYBODY from the entirety of Israel and Palestine. If they can’t share it nicely, nobody should get to have it.

I haven’t read the text of the law, but unless it explicitly says otherwise, I suspect it will be up to the schools/districts. If they have the money and room to build separate non-gendered bathrooms, then some of them will do so. But I suspect that most will simply convert existing bathrooms and not have gender specific bathrooms at all.

It depends on the dosage. The 4hr pseudoephedrine are red. The 12hr are white.

They’ve been shitty since TWC bought them. Maybe a little before when they killed their old web interface which was informative and fast and replaced it with a new design that was difficult to read information, and worst of all, slow as fuck. That’s about when I stopped subscribing.

Overcharging at tourist traps is hardly a new phenomenon. I went to Italy in the late 90s and they were charging $4 for a 12oz can of Coke I could get for 25-50¢ at home.

So? An illegal clause in a contract doesn’t suddenly become legal once you sign it.

As a tech worker for over 25 years, I say good for them.

Hell, if my back, knees and neck weren’t already fucked, I’d be damned tempted to start driving for UPS.

I’m already kind of nearing a point where a move away from tech is appealing, but even if I accept the idea of some reduction in pay, I’m at a loss for what I can do that wouldn’t see me losing half my income which would just be more than I’d like to bear.
