All good but I’d just like to point something out.

When you boil pasta you’re actually hydrating it, and it’s a process that occurs above 80C, you don’t need water to be boiling savagely.

In fact, it’s preferable to let pasta simmer, as full boiling is a bit too “violent” and tends to damage most kinds of pasta.

You know, when some pieces are broken and torn like when it’s overcooked? You can avoid that by keeping the temperature low.

Some people in Italy even turn the fire off after the water has started boiling ,as the water is hot enough to cook the pasta and keep it nice and firm.

You know, for one reason or another I won’t bother you with I’m still in the WhatsApp group of my childhood friends.

They’re a bunch of dicks, and tbh were I to meet them today I’d avoid them like the plague, but a couple of people in there are actual friends, so I stick around.

Anyway, the humour in the chat is that of many WhatsApp groups, jokes about women, sex and so on.

Boomers humour, so to speak, even though we’re all X-Gen.

Sadly, 80% are jokes about gays, which can get fairly nasty at times.

A couple of weeks ago I actually said “hey, how come you guys always joke about gays and trans? Like, all the time? You know who does that? Closeted homosexuals”.

Then I linked a few articles of random gay-bashing Republicans who were caught fiddling kids and were forced to admitting being gay.

“Rings a bell?”

I haven’t seen a gay joke in the group since.

What I hear some acquaintances say is like “who cares, I’ll go to the beach, turn the AC on, what’s the big deal” .

As if the floods we had in Italy this year, or the wild fires, or the storms, or the draughts, or the Alps without snow, the glaciers disappeared, the sea turned green, the invasion of jellyfish weren’t connected.

Some people, most people, are just too fucking stupid.

I’ll save this as the most retarded thread I’ve seen on this site so far, the paradigm of shallowness and stupidity.

When someone will make a stupid thread in the next few years I can link to this and say “well, at least it’s not as stupid as this one”.
