And if I reach for the pizza without oven mitts:

With 450 °C your pizza should be ready in 30 seconds.
The pizza shop I worked at in college had the oven somewhere between 600-700 F
You should try opening my heat treating kiln when it’s been cooking at 1875° F.

Don’t stand too close if you’re wearing clothing made of synthetic fibers.
DON’T GET IN THE KILN!
GET OUTTA THE BLOODY KILN!
I had to look that up because it was familiar but I couldn’t remember what that was from
Oh man, I took a glass blowing course and the heat was crazy! Very glad I made sure all clothing was cotton before going lol
Where is this clip from? Reminds me of Sunshine.
Oh, just like opening the front door in Florida.
We got an oven that has a stone fire pizza mode on it. It gets the stone up to 750F. Cooks our homemade pizzas in ~2 minutes. It’s awesome.
I was planning to joke about the 450° of rotation but, you know, internet is strange so, instead I found a French pizzeria… https://www.450degres.fr/

550 minimum for pizza
I was gonna say it never bothers me then I realized I don’t set it that high.
But why? Is it necessary for frozen pizzas?
It’s to get a good crust on a thin fresh pizza
Personally I find 500F works fine but I don’t have a pizza stone or one of those big wooden spatulas to use it with a floppy fresh pizza. I just assemble mine in a room temperature cast iron pan and then throw it in for 10 or so minutes at 500
