I am going insane because I was just curious if Persian speaking countries also read comic books right-to-left too, and despite the amount of specifying, my search engine just fucking insists that I am looking for the Manga reading directions. What happened to the internet?

As someone educated in Japanese subculture I thought it was testing knowledge of hasshaku-sama (urban legend of 8 ft tall mistress, you may also find spicy contemporary interpretation too).
Could be second layer to the meme that went over my head. Seems a lot of commenters agree with you.

Right to left, the woman gets a stuck ball from a tree to relieve a crying child.
But yeah that woman is like 11ft tall, I think.
American comics read left to right.
Japanese manga read right to left

Thought this was supposed to be the other way around since the Japanese have Hachishaku-sama.
