I hate this trend. this joke works perfectly without it.
I do, too, actually. Should’ve cropped it. Live and learn. I strive to please you all, but am mostly just flesh and blood.
I’m almost entirely convinced this is some Christian (read: Roman/Western/pagan) invention. It just seems so out of character for someone who focused on real life like greed and imperialism, and up until then hasn’t been shown as someone who’s into blood rites, lol.
