Unfortunately, in most developing countries it’s an evil necessity, in that some people can only be communicated through Messenger, or that the sole contact for their businesses is through their Facebook pages. Fact is, most of the separate traditional Internet services – including niche interest fora – are now replicated entirely by Facebook.

Those ads are also usually targeted, which means that there’s a chance that your wife is looking at porn.

Make of that what you will, hopefully that’s a good thing for you guys!

I didn’t say that there was. I said maybe that’s a good thing.

Maybe he didn’t know his wife was looking at porn.

Maybe they can look at porn together and have more fun sexy times together embracing each other’s sexuality.

Sounds like you have a guilty conscience.

What information adults share with each other is between them, true, but when you put your business in a public market it is okay for people to comment on your business.

If they did not want the comments, they would not have put their business out for people to comment on them.

Yes, the ads are targeted, in that the advertiser can target them at anyone. Not meaning that there’s magical correspondence between the actual content and the user’s behaviors.

While there is human moderation, much of it is being subcontracted in developing countries and those who do work there usually end up with some burnout or worse, PTSD due to violent content (i.e. CSAM, gore, porn, etc.)

Yeah, and that one flew under the radar.
