Elon Musk has become the first person to reach a net worth of $500bn, bringing the Tesla chief executive halfway to trillionaire status.

Musk’s wealth temporarily crossed the half-trillion mark on Wednesday before retreating to $499bn, according to the Forbes billionaires list.

Musk owns 12% of Tesla, which is worth more than $1.5tn, and his wealth has been boosted this year by surge in the electric carmaker’s share price.

Imagine if 99% of his net worth were redistributed to the people who need it most and reivested in the economy. And even then, that asshole would still have $5 billion left over.

Almost all of that money is imaginary. Look at Tesla’s $1.5T “worth”. If you liquidated the company down to the staplers and pens, you’re probably only going to get a few billion.

If we’re saying that $1.5T represents current assets and future growth, yikes. Tesla ain’t doing so hot and I hardly expect them to turn it around with this genius at the top. The stock price merely reflects people buying because people are buying. Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd! Someday that stock is going to crater.

Anyway, same goes for Musk. He can turn but a fraction of that net worth into cash. Imagine if he started selling Tesla stock. First off, the market would panic seeing the CEO dumping his own stock, the price would plummet, instantly. Even if word didn’t get out, the market would still be flooded, driving the price into the ground.

CAVEAT: None of this considers the value of SpaceX. 🤷🏻

$1.5t is the market cap which is simply stock price x # of shares. It has no direct correlation to the assets of the company or the amount of profit it makes. People misunderstand market cap and what it means all the time.

My math may be off, but, I’m good at my job and I make 1.78E-7 less money than this douche nozzle, who is terrible at everything, and slowly destroys all his companies.

    K. Then can he go ahead and fix universal healthcare and fix world hunger?

It would make him a superhero. And people wouldn’t think he was such a raging douche nozzle.

With what money? The vast majority of his “wealth” is imaginary. When Tesla investors, who know damned well they’re riding a bubble, finally decide they’ve made enough money, risked it long enough and it’s time to bail, the bubble pops.

Not saying that because the man is a raging douche nozzle, it’s simply reality.

You can’t take that with you, though…

Once his current-incarnation/life terminates, & all his unconscious ignoring/denying releases , … firing his continuum/soul away from what he had been “possessing”,

then his continuum’s/soul’s “reaping of what it had sown” will make his continuum’s/soul’s future-someones be having hell-lives after hell-lives after hell-lives, for all the exploitation/abuse his privilege stood-on, this-time-'round… …until it balances-out, grinding-through soul-unconsciousness, resulting in soul-gnosis/understanding.

    shrug

His continuum/soul will learn: that’s the whole point of OceanOfAllPhenomena.

    That original-awarenesses ( continuums/souls, not mere incarnation/life minds, let-alone the mere-hours-duration SurfaceMinds we narcissistically call “consciousness” )

… get to have THEIR OWN experiencings, no matter how many lives+deaths that takes for a given continuum/soul, every single one gets to choose its own path, & is forced into experiencing ALL consequences of its indulgings/committings…

    ( technically, it’s much less “personal”/sociopolitical:

    a continuum/soul emits meaning into OceanOfAllPhenomena/Universe,

then it is trapped in OceanOfAllPhenomena BY that emitted-meaning, UNTIL it has reabsorbed ALL of the emitted-meanings, & ONLY THEN can it dissolve-out-from soul-containment/recycling/reincarnation. ( yes, universe recycles ALL energies contained within it, including meaning-energy, in spite of the Physicalist-dogma that meaning “isn’t real” and “doesn’t exist” )

This is why AwakeSoulism, aka “Buddhism”, tells us straight-up that replacing lead-chains ( bad-karma ) with gold-chains ( good-karma ) isn’t itself enough to free our continuum, one has to have NO karma, in order to become free-from-entrapment/imprisonment/containment.

The only way to have NO karma, is to have no involvement-attachment when committing circumstantial-action: to let go of everything, letting it all be, in equinimity, while committing only right-action, dismantling one’s existing emitted-meaning-balance-sheet/karma, see?

Contrast that paradigm/principle, with what Musk, a former Vajrayana ( he counted Tenzin Gyatso, the “Dalai Lama”/Ocean-Guru, as his teacher, years ago ), is enforcing into his own continuum’s/soul’s Eternity…

The reason I’m explaining this perspective-difference, is simple:

The root-guru of the Christians, benJoseph, told people that the 2nd Great Law was “love others as one’s own brother”, right?

The problem is that that was a dumbed-down version of LivingSpirit’s instruction, appropriate to the Animals-&-Tribes-Time men he was talking to…

The CORRECT rendition of LivingSpirit’s meaning is:

“love all SOULS as one’s own soul’s brother, but dispute the children-of-souls/lives/incarnations which are committing wrong-meaning”,

which is entirely-more-complex than what would have stuck in the minds of benJoseph’s followers ( he railed against their stone-heartedness, repeatedly, in their bible, try reading biblegateway’s CJB book of Luke, for examples of that, if you want… ).

So, considering the 2 perspectives, lives vs souls, simultaneously…

Musk is digging a grave & throwing his own future-someones into that grave, & tamping it down solidly, for sake of his personal dominion, only this time 'round.

Our regimes’ accommodating of this behavior proves our regimes are narcissism/machiavellianism/sociopathy instead-of ForTheBenefitOfAll/ForTheBenefitOfLivingWorld, as they ought be…

But … he CANNOT escape reaping what he has sown: none can…

Essentially, he’s a toddler “eating candy instead of real-food, who doesn’t understand that there WON’T BE ANY real-food, in his future”, & has sold-out his own future-viability, for sake of momentary-supremacism, now…

    This means that I don’t need to have much/any emotional ( social/political ) involvement/entanglement with him: he’s dug his own Eternity’s grave, & G-D’s LivingLAW, aka Karma, CAN process/deal-with his continuum/soul…

…but his distorting of our world, for narcissistic-machiavellian highjacking needs effective countering…

Limiting one’s commitment to what is effective reduces burnout, right?

Someday a portion of humankind may find the spine to enforce-correctness into our economy…

The book “Screwed” by Thom Hartmann ( https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/screwed-47 ) is strongly recommended, for understanding the REAL economic-rules that evidence showed to be true, historically.

I’ve only read the beginning of it, but the economic disinformation which has been well-established by “economists” got cleared from my view in seeing the truth in what he was saying…

Combine that excellently-clarifying ebook with https://www.fooledbyrandomness.com/tenprinciples.pdf by Taleb ( who wrote the book “Anti-Fragile” ), & THEN one has PROPER economic competence’s foundations in one’s mind!

All this to say, correct-framing reduces emotional-burnout, our having economic-spine would prune-down oligarchy, effective-competence ( the book & the PDF I’ve linked-to ) would MASSIVELY empower our populations, all this is preventable, AND there are inevitable-consequences of doing as Musk & Bezos are doing, for their souls’ future-someones, that Eternity-scale SANE people wouldn’t ever want to be Eternity-scale imprisonned in.

May equinimity release all our lives from economic-oppression’s grip, as that psychologist/psychoanalyst who was in a nazi concentration-camp realized: the guards had liberty, but they were not free, because they were entirely-entrained-within ideology…

He had no liberty, but he did have freedom, because he wasn’t entrained-in-ideological-meaning…

( sorry I can’t remember the man’s name: a big name in psychology, Jewish, obviously … dug his name up!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Frankl : )

We need to learn the same lesson ( without the concentration-camp induction, obviously ), to make our creating-our-world become more effective, is all…

That effectiveness of more-universal-framing, is what I’m pushing…

    Salut, Namaste, & Kaizen.

Hm? Not sure if you’re referring to me or what you might be (possibly legitimately) thinking, throwing me into a pot of ‘these comments’. Which are? I am intrigued anyhow.

I was just thinking for me, he’s not worth anything. He’s a burden on humanity. But here we go, we make up financials and he’s the top dog.
