Why the fuck would I want to visit the United States?

They’ve already kidnapped/ unlawfully held a Canadian citizen without anything resembling due process.

    So the proposition is:

Please come back, put money into our local economy, but we have no control over ICE kidnapping you.

Also, we want to annex you.

Also, even if we somehow get rid of Trump, we will collectively do nothing to prevent the rise of another Facist movement.

I suggest those working in tourism start voting for democrats then. Your customers aren’t going to return as long as the current weirdos are still in charge.

I wouldn’t feel safe going to the US right now. I have no guarantee that my rights would be respected. It’s just a matter of time where a tourist is sent to El Salvador to prison.

As a Canadian, why on earth would I visit an actively hostile nation whose Head of State has repeatedly threatened invasion and annexation?

Maybe next time vote, and don’t vote fascist / narcissist / sociopath / liar / traitor.
One should think it wouldn’t be necessary to warn against that, but apparently about half the American population actually like that shit!?!

To those that actually tried to prevent this, we feel for you, but we are sorry, you are collateral dammage, victims of your own countrymen, there is really not much that we can do.

The collateral damage is absolutely necessary. If anything, the lack of prior collateral damage signified to American voters that putting a fascist back in office is just fine and dandy.

As an American who hates 1/3 of the country and is really pissed off at another 1/3 who couldn’t be fucked to vote even when there was early voting like everywhere, this makes me really happy to hear
