My favorite keyboard is a 1995 ish Leading Edge DC2214 I have, but its switches started going bad so I’m using the dell until I get around to repairing it. It’s so nice though, it has alps white switches and n key rollover unlike the 2 key rollover the dell has in some places. It’s also just such a nice shape and nice color.

Most of my peripherals honestly, my monitors are all 10-20 years old, my keyboard is a like 30 year old Dell AT101W, I only replaced my old Logitech G35 headphones when they literally fell to pieces

When I was in second grade, my teacher saw me bend a paperclip once. For the rest of the year she would scream my name every time she found a bent paperclip and insist I must have bent it. One time she took away a snack I had because there was a twist tie on the bag and she insisted it was one of her paperclips I stole and bent.

Another time she got mad at me and insisted I was chewing gum when I was actually just eating graphite from my mechanical pencil. I don’t think I can really blame her for that one though

I mean yeah but you don’t need an expensive computer to play games. In the mid 2010s I spent loads of time playing games on my ~$200 something Asus netbook, and more recently I was using an old Dell Precision from 2011 I got for $25 and put a $75 GPU into from like 2018 until 2023.

I guess maybe the difference is that people who don’t buy expensive consoles or computers also don’t buy expensive games. For the most part I don’t buy things unless they have a sale for like under $30, so even though I’ve bought a lot of games I’ve probably paid less total money for games than the average console player.

Huh, I’m kind of surprised that’s a new thing. I would assume way more people own computers than consoles in modern times so you would think that would always mean more sales

I hate how microsoft seems to think they own the term PC now and it can mean anything they want. Some of the “Copilot+ PCs” they’re advertising on things like this have ARM CPUs which means they aren’t PCs. I would even argue that a lot of x86 computers aren’t PCs now because they only support UEFI booting so aren’t PC compatible. They need to just call them computers or come up with a new term

It’s so dumb because it would be so easy for them to use a business model people don’t hate since it’s a genuinely good game but they just won’t. If they charged like $20 for the base game and maybe like $5 each for the DLCs I would probably buy the game and a few DLCs, but all the DLCs are so expensive that my options are either play the base game for free or pirate all the DLC for free, so either way EA gets no money out of someone who would otherwise have been a paying customer

Minecraft pocket edition has microtransactions but it only ever pushes them on the menu never actually in game so maybe that’s a compromise? Huh, in my area recently they’ve been using just normal Mercedes vans with the Mercedes logo replaced by the USPS logo so I had assumed that was just the new standard USPS vehicle now but I guess not, interesting.
