Nah the mini rant tips your hand. You were not being tongue in cheek, you were being sincere.

Kind of a shitty tone to take over a crappy plot line.
The yuuzhan vong will never be canon for me.
I didn’t call you that but your responses do lend some credibility to the notion. If you don’t want to be taken seriously fine, I don’t really care
Nah I was trying to help ya but it sounds like you might be closer to the mind set that I was trying to help you not sound like.
So is the lethal limit you are referencing the LD50? If you link the studies I can look into it a bit. If you are making the case that this is all safe and normal then why was the kid going to die from drinking bleach otherwise?
Is the lethal limit the LD50? 1 in a billion is a very favorable statistic to choose.
That’s cool man if you want to keep sounding like a dime store Don Quixote. The adversarial subtext of your phrasing will make the majority of people ignore you and will taint the perception of whatever you cite.
You’d be taken a lot more seriously if you dropped the “admission” phrasing.
I think you are missing a few common sense points here. When since the inception of the country did manufacturers start using chemical processes to artificially spice foods to orders of magnitude higher than what naturally occurs? This is a new process and a new problem. If the FDA made limits to access of spicy food it wouldn’t be all spicy foods and it wouldn’t be all levels of spice. There would be no large protests because the actual amount of foods impacted would be miniscule. I respect that spice is an important part of culture and identify but I think that because it is a part of your identity you are not taking a clear objective look at it. Addressing this problem isn’t an all or nothing situation, it’s just the unnatural new extreme products that are the issue.
I still can’t tell if you are just fucking around again or if you are sincerely saying that I think I’m exceptional. I think you lost track of that thread too. You should consider being honest and straightforward in conversations instead of this convoluted ambiguous fucking around.
So I’m not ascribing it to the entire group, that’s an unfounded leap on your part. Majority doesn’t mean entirety. Give “history of American exceptionalism” a Google. This isn’t some fringe idea. So again not bigotry. It’s a real wide spread thing.
So we come back to the point that American exceptionalism was a huge part of America’s messaging and something that the majority of them believed and didn’t question at the time. Hell large portions of Americans believe that still. That’s real. It was baseless bragging and self promoting most of the time. Or are you referring to something else? Responding to that arrogance with the same measure of disrespect or scoffing openly at the claims isn’t bigotry. Make sense?
Believe what things?
Which if you take the unreasonable stance that making fun of Americans for bragging for decades is bigotry makes sense. But I still can’t tell what you actually believe. I assume that you were not being serious when you used a circular definition for labeling me a braggart but that’s a risky assumption. I’m guessing that you are being disingenuous and trying what you think is a clever rhetorical method of being insulting to me for being an American so that you can bait me into saying that you yourself are being a bigot. It really is hard to distinguish your fucking about from what you really believe.
I just don’t buy that making fun of people going on about how they are number one is bigotry. I think calling it that is what cheapens actual bigotry. How much of what you just said was sincere and how much is just fucking around?
So you’ve stopped being sincere again. But we do seem to have settled on you actually were putting mocking Americans at the same level as actual bigotry. Were you just fucking around before when you took exception to that observation?
What do you base that on? Or are you just fucking around again?
I do actually stand against bigotry, I just have reasonable standards for what qualifies as bigotry. That you just made that statement reinforces my point that you are treating making fun of braggart Americans as being as heinous as actual forms of bigotry.
Nah you were genuinely wounded that I didn’t revere the yuuzhan vong.
