To my mind, this sort of thing (no pun intended) waters down the entire meaning of the thing.

Timberland, classic for a reason. I originally got them for doing DIY work around the house (and they have saved me from a nail in the foot at least twice so far) but now I legit pick these over my sneakers just for going out for a walk sometimes because they are comfier.

If you don’t mind heavy-as-f***, Carolinas. Insulated, composite toe, waterproof to a foot and change deep. I learned about these from a guy who wears them to fight forest fires in the dead of winter. They’re very comfy and put in a lot of work but holy gods are they heavy.

I would love to see more technique and theory videos. There’s piles of recipes and such, but, like, what does it mean to dice something as opposed to julienne it? How the hell do you chop things so fast without losing a finger or leaving a hand-span of un-chopped stuff behind? Why does it matter if my pots are “heavy bottomed” or not and what even is that?

Utter bullshit. The world does need more ways to restrict, exclude, and infantilize young people. This should be subverted by every possible means.

I imagine this cuts off right at the voting age? So it only affects people who never had a say in who passed it and can’t effectively hold them to account for it?
