It’s such a dumb name, that it makes me genuinely furious there there are people out there who have lied and impostered their way into positions where they can make such decisions, while having absolutely no clue at all what they’re even doing in the building.

Apple intelligence makes sense, because the abbreviation is AI. Pretty smart and simple if you think about it.

But Copilot is the kind of name Apple would choose for its product. Things like centre stage, launchpad, facetime… They’re all very descriptive and cool sounding names of their software products. Copilot is a great name that they’re throwing away along with Cortana because their crappy practices are crappy.

Great, now let me pay a single fee for the SIA, and be able to watch anything on any of those channels. I’d happily pay a higher amount for that privilege.

The conspiracy theorist in me always thought stuff like this was the result of corporate espionage; a loyal employee of a rival firm joins their competitor’s ranks and works their way up and finally gets the commanding role, only to announce something this dumb and then take it back (losing their reputation without anything in return) and then the guy leaves the company and finds a comfortable position on the board of their original rival company.

I’m not sure what she’s upset about

I mean we can all sympathise. We know why she’s upset. If she took more than a couple of minutes to calm down, she’ll argue herself that the country needs tourists and that they can’t be blamed for wanting to make the most of their holidays.

Out of personal experience, it’s incredibly frustrating to see people happy and smiling when your whole world is collapsing around you. It’s irrational but it makes sense.
