I wonder if youtube buffers the ad in the background as you’re watching a video. That could explain why your actual video buffers but the ad plays just fine.

About 3 years ago, I was looking for emeralds at a closed emerald mine when I had the brilliant idea of hitting a random rock with my pickaxe. Turns out the rock was harder than the pickaxe, so a piece of the metal broke off and flew into my finger. I was 10s of hours away from any hospitals, and the metal curved around the bone of my finger, so I had to take my dad’s camping knife and cut the thing out. This was at a camping spot, so I had running water, but it wasn’t easy.

I don’t want to be a downer, but I’m afraid people will see the extra emissions headroom and speed up production instead of letting the carbon capture reverse anything.

I’m sure they thought of this (and this one is in Iceland so they have a bunch of geothermal energy), but wouldn’t the power consumption and the emissions that come with producing the power negate some of the practical capacity of these carbon vacuums?

I have probably 2 or 3 stuck for movies, and thousands stuck for music. Radarr and lidarr adds them automatically, and after many months, they do actually finish downloading

Ok that’s a pretty cool design for a microwave tho

Guess which option will be set to off by users, which youtube will make the default to “on”, and then entirely remove the button when users adapt to turning it off.
