I think Apple has the right idea going after the professional market. Assuming it works well, I could see it being useful for design, architecture, town planning, and anything where having immersive 3D would be advantageous.
But until there’s the VR equivalent of spreadsheets and word processors, things people use at work and then want at home, it’s going to be relegated to gaming and porn.
Anyone who’s dealt with someone with early dementia will recognize this behavior. I can empathize with those suffering from it, because my own mind slipping away would be incredibly frustrating. But if you’re a danger to yourself and others someone needs to stop you, whether its to keep you from driving or to keep you from presiding over trials.

When I lived out in the country I could see it almost every clear night. I could also watch satellites drift overhead, and there were so many fireflies I could walk through the woods at night without a flashlight.
Suburbs fucking suck.
One criticism of WFH is that you’ll have increased energy bills since you’re home all day. Aside from the obvious reasons that’s wrong, this provides hard data showing that WFH is better for the environment in addition to being better for literally everyone except commercial real estate investors.

My kid is always amazed that despite violating the dress code she never gets in trouble. I told her that the rules aren’t there to be enforced equally, they’re there to give them an excuse to harass students and because she’s one of the “good kids” she gets away with it.
Of course, I’m in support of neutering all companion animals to ease the stray population and the strain on shelters, regardless of breed or species. Breed specific laws are only one step towards fixing the larger problem.

I think it’s because they can’t pull people into their office and give them illegal or unethical tasks off the record. Slack and email all leave a paper trail.
Cubicles break things up. To maximize synergy we need an open floor plan so everyone can hear and see everyone else.
