I’ve known a lot of people who go by their middle names because their first name is a family name (who they hate). Like if you call them by their first name, it’s the equivalent of dead naming.

Some of those people are anti-trans.

If I care enough about a game to pay $70 for it, I want to own it. And I want to be able to let a friend borrow it. And I want to be able to sell it.

I know people like their convenience. But I don’t really understand it either unless it’s a game you might want to play in the spur of the moment (Call of Duty or something like that). If I’m playing a longish story-heavy, I’m just leaving that disc in my console for awhile.

They made that ad and released it the same day after Xbox announced their disc games would be one-time use activation keys.

I think even 10 years ago Reddit was a lot bigger. The niche subs still had some traction. Like, Morrowind there 10 years ago had more stuff than the Elder Scrolls community here does. (I could be misremembering, but that feels right.)

BUT you’re right that it wasn’t endless filler back then. There was an end, and then you were done.

What I hate about Lemmy is the lack of content in semi-specific communities.

What I love about Lemmy is that there’s so much less content overall. I run out of content and I log off. Reddit was a bottomless pit.

No. It could create a security breach. It DOES pose a security risk.

So, similar to the non-conforming clothing bill that was changed to be obscene clothing because the former was blatantly unconstitutional (although I’m surprised they didn’t want the fight).

Except that was targeted at everyone (specifically drag, but all ages) where this targets kids. So I’m guessing the argument is “child abuse”.

I’ve never seen them do split screen during gameplay. Maybe if they timed it wrong, but not that I can remember. But thet do have split screen during short timeouts or ref reviews

They’re literally calling all black, women, and/or LGBT employees unqualified. The NFL is removing “End Racism” from their messaging ahead of the Super Bowl. Companies are apologizing for previously providing safe, inviting, workplace environments.

It kinda feels like we’re past the dogwhistle. If low information “moderates” were going to act outraged, it would be now. I’m not sure what else they could do but change the actual constitution to remove the protection. But the courts can overrule the constitution anyways, so even that’s kind of happened already.

I’m waiting for the moderate conservatives to get offended that the NFL thinks they’re SO FUCKING RACIST that “end racism” is considered controversial.

That wouldn’t feel good on a personal level as I bought a Series for Fable. Obviously having access to other games is a perk, but I probably wouldn’t have bought it without Fable being exclusive.

But also, I’m always happy for more access. I hope it’s good.

I appreciate the support. I actually do post in those situations. And when I say there isn’t a Lemmy equivalent, I mean those communities are dead.

I just like to see what other people’s reactions are, and I like to see some of other people’s content from time to time. Also, I don’t mind supporting those subs that stood up to the 3rd party app purge.

I have an account for a few specific subs (that shut down during the strike) that don’t have Lemmy equivalents. But I really don’t browse. The only time I get on there is to check reactions to big events (football games, new movies, etc). And even then it’s pretty rare.

Soon they’ll make sexual partners register with the state or straight up make premarital sex illegal. And anyone found breaking the law (i.e. women getting pregnant) will go to jail.

Why? To distract.

He could have pardoned them before he left office. Hell, he could have pardoned them before they actually did anything.

I wouldn’t be surprised by anything from absolutely no pardoned all the way through blanket pardoned for FUTURE violence on lawmakers. AFAIK, in DC everything is federal jurisdiction and therefore everything is pardonable.

I felt like Morrowind struck a great balance between clunk and depth. Skyrim was polished but had no depth.

Something like Kingdom Come Deliverance feels way more clunky to me, but has far less appeal to general audiences than the Elder Scroll games. Although, there are extremely passionate fans of it, so there’s obviously still a market for that kind of game.

Then they would have to report on the things he’s actually doing and planning. Or report on his many failures.
