  • Lol, nope. I’d only stayed at all for the single kebble sub I was in, but the protests either changed the vibe through loss of all the empathetic users or it changed my outlook in general.

I hung on for a couple more weeks, but what with this place and being distracted with other hobbies, most of it was me asking myself how sad I would really be every week. Finally gave it up two weeks ago. Beyond being given the unavoidable google results, haven’t noticed.

  • But today Microsoft announced that it is finally adding two features that could make the app a bit more useful for power users: support for Photoshop-esque image layers and the ability to open and save transparent PNGs.

What kind of person is an MS Paint power user. I just use it to paste screenshots into if I’m not intending fine editing, otherwise it might as well not exist as a program.

The only person who seriously uses MS Paint for artwork is that one guy who recreated the Mona Lisa out of hundreds of pieces of variously burnt toast. Real, usable art tools would destroy the purpose and make that guy sad.

Really, if they kept this kind of momentum up for the next 20 years, it might put it on par with Fire Alpaca. It’s an interesting move, they’re just so incredibly late to the game that even other free programs are still leagues better than they are and no one will ever take them seriously again.

  • A spokesperson for Marina Port Vell said that the boat had not been damaged in Friday’s action. “After a quick action on behalf of the security team, the incident has been corrected and the boat is now in a perfect state,” the spokesperson told CNN.

Cannot stress enough that a new paint job is not the kind of action that’s going to fix jack shit. More than likely, it’s barely an annoyance. Few people on the planet have not heard the message already. If you don’t want them joyriding a massive yacht everywhere, remove the yacht.

  • The court concludes plaintiffs’ evidence forecasting excessive heat for the upcoming weeks and detailing the risks of heat-related deaths and illnesses is sufficient to show that irreparable harm will result in the absence of injunctive relief,” Nunley wrote in his order.

Last year, he ordered similar temporary restraining orders against the city to halt encampment sweeps during scorching temperatures that lasted nearly two months.

The complaint includes details from a sweep in mid July, when authorities removed about 30 people from a tree-lined street in the city’s midtown. The temperature that day was 91F, and the sweep came just before a multi-day stretch of triple-digit temperatures, according to the AP.

The city did not offer any housing to the people kicked out of their temporary shelters, the Sacramento Bee reported.

So it’s a temporary ban on forcing anyone to move under the possibility the victim will die of heat stroke if they do. But after the ban is lifted, they’ll still be shuffled around with nowhere to actually go.

They’ll just keep struggling to live out of cars and tents (if they have those) in dangerous weather conditions because, from personal experience, the grand majority of people seem to think building shelters is the thing that attracts homeless people and thus, if your city doesn’t have shelters, nobody will be homeless.

  • Something similar can be said about kbins “all” page at the moment too though. I rather wish they’d give the users the tools to tailor their feeds according to their own preferences instead of interfering themselves. “All” should be all, excluding whatever my personal filters & settings get rid of.

Is it…not that? Am I misunderstanding or mistaken. My experience has been a very “All” experience, I thought, only playing an endless whack-a-mole with porn, sports, and whatever really good sub is sadly dominating the rest of the feed.

What would you mean by tailoring?

  • I could see it being maybe a problem since the company sells food, depending on how large a mohawk we’re talking. Not like it isn’t easy enough to set a height limit just so it still fits in a hairnet.

I know damn well I’m not the only one that would actually be put more at ease if the guy selling me a car or whatever had dark teal liberty spikes and a nose ring. It would make them much more human and personable than “smiling snake in a suit,” and therefore I would be more likely to have a favorable opinion of them and maybe buy something.
