Sorry, Fort Knox is empty.
Sorry, Fort Knox is empty.
Rover Dangerfield was just “What if Rodney Dangerfield was a dog?” and as I kid I loved it. I had a vague idea of who Rodney was so this was the perfect transition film for a kid. Arguably I watched his career in reverse, but because of this film I watched it.
To see the reviews on this film and that it did so poorly, no respect at all.
If it helps this is just the beginning, it’s going to get worse.
Wait…
censorship of conservative viewpoints.
Which viewpoint? I’d love an example. Is it really viewpoints or is it just hate filled language?
That won’t happen. As Twitter dies those users have to go somewhere. While Reddit isn’t a direct competitor as a service, it is in terms of time/eyeballs.
Ideally folks would move to Mastodon/Lemmy/etc, but that’s a different problem.
Sure, but even if TikTok sold it wouldn’t solve the problem. Hell them not selling also doesn’t solve the problem.
The problem is that data is gobbled up and sold. Data/privacy protection laws to stop that would be useful.
So technically you’re right, but the law they passed left a HUGE loophole. And by loophole I mean just don’t be based on those counties and you can gobble up whatever data you like.
In the streaming world of TV/movies everything is available “sooner”. Shows that air at 9pm EST are available at 6pm PST. Shows that are available at midnight are actually available at midnight PST and not 3AM EST.
I always figured bipedal was to make robots adapt to do things humans do where humans do things.
So for a factory floor, bipedal might not make sense. But what about delivering packages to houses? Navigating a home to help someone or collect something? These types of robots are designed to be general purpose.
If you own a factory or wearhouse, ideally you design them with robots in mind. Of course until you can do that something more generally purpose might be better.
It’s similar to Star Trek when they observe underdeveloped (Pre-Warp) civilizations, but we’re the Enterprise.
Adams, who faces federal corruption charges
Oh jeez, does anyone know someone capable of handing out federal pardons and loves when people suck up to him?
Anyone who thought or for some reason still thinks that Ginsberg and Trump align is an idiot. @ me, you’re an idiot.
Ginsberg had a specific and nuanced legal argument that essentially came down to, a law should be passed to clarify the right to abortion. Ginsberg was pro choice. However as a judge and Supreme Court Justice she had a specific and nuanced opinion, but ultimately believed Roe v Wade provided the correct answer, but how it got there did have some shakey legal ground.
I don’t have an Xbox, but on my Switch I can play the game without updating the game. I may not be able to utilize any online features, but if that server is gone I wouldn’t be using them anyway.
I had good luck with https://www.wisetekmarket.com
Of course any used laptop will be a toss up. I had good luck, I know others have, but it does come with a little bit of risk.
I had to look up dynamic lock screens, but it looks like it just changes your wallpaper? That might be neat but doesn’t seem that exciting.
In terms of AI I’m not aware of anything AI on my phone.
Honestly I feel like phones have stagnated. I’ve had the “same” phone since 2016 (if not before). The fingerprint sensor, that’s probably the last thing that made me excited, was that 2016? Obviously screens have gotten better and battery life has gone up, but it’s the same phone.
I’d like to see ports added back to mainline phones. I’ve only ever bought a phone with a headphone jack so it makes my options limited. I’d like to see headphone jacks, SD cards & quickly replaceable batteries come back.
Sure but a game of whataboutism isn’t a strong argument. If Steam has a Nazi problem they should be outlining how they’re fixing it. They can definitely compare themselves to other platforms, but you lead with what YOU’RE doing. If the majority are coming from Twitter you can point that out. But at the end of the day either prove how you’re fixing it or why it isn’t as big of a problem as stated.
Since I didn’t see it listed yet, fear of change.
Some folks are just fearful of change.
Rarely is a change proposal black and white. We can show you good data to support the change. We can look at it from a reputable source. We can look at how the change affected others. We can agree it’s most likely a good change.
But sometimes we fear it.
What if we’re wrong?
I know that’s a direct quote from the developer, but I disagree that is what actually happened.
The Animal Well journey began in two phases, Basso says: a quick stab at a Metroidvania-styled prototype in 2012, and a bespoke engine project that he took more seriously, which he began coding alone in 2014 during his day job’s off hours.
It was 2017, and some of the design ideas from his 2012 Metroidvania lark had continued pulling on him, so Basso “wrote off” his 3D engine as “a learning experience” and started anew with 2D search action as a priority.
It seems clear to me the prototype did more heavy lifting than he’s giving credit. He clearly had an established vision beginning with the prototype. He spent three years thinking 3D was the best way to achieve that goal, but that goal was clearly based on the prototype. At some point it was clear that 3D was drifting away from the core, so the switch to 2D and a renewed focus was the answer.
It’s also clear that they had a distinct art style in mind from the start.
For his new game, he wanted pixels to scale perfectly to a variety of common screen resolutions, along with visual effects that meshed well with his integer-scaled pixel art.
And that existing engines couldn’t meet that distinct art style.
That home-brew engine is what gives the game its unique look and can allow for unique game elements, but that initial prototype was clearly the guide.
Damn. I assumed you could just pay to win. I’m pretty sure white goes first.
It is wholesome. A family in the film even stops to watch the miracle of life.
