I really loved police academy. Rewatched it recently with our late teen kids-wow, does it have some racial and queer jokes that made us all very uncomfortable. the rest is still gold though.
It is wholesome. A family in the film even stops to watch the miracle of life.
Unfortunately, the transphobia in the prequel is less wholesome.
There’s nothing inherently wholesome or obscene about the cycle of death and rebirth. It simply is. 🧘
