Mailbox.org is another good option, pretty cheap to use with your own domain which I highly recommend. With your own domain you can move email providers almost instantly later on without needing to update emails on all your accounts.

I think people are confused, this has nothing to do with gmail as far as I can tell.

Google is going to websites and subscribing itself to their newsletters. This is not related to consumers.

Just use decent quality USB C to C cables and power adapters. Don’t use splitters or weird adapters that go against the USB C spec.

Yeah pretty much what it feels like to me, everyone wants to cram AI into everything even though it’s often worse and uses far more resources.

AI tools are great at some things, like I had a spreadsheet of product names and SKUs and we wanted to clean up the names by removing extra spaces, use consistent characters like - for a separator, and that kind of thing, and it was very quick to have an AI tool do that for me.

Well sure but most exes I download are installers, where decompression only needs to happen once.

EXE files don’t really compress well, plus the files should already be internally compressed when the exe is built.

On a somewhat related note, why do so many open source projects give me a zip file with a single exe inside it instead of just the exe directly?

I have another 2FA app (Aegis) with the same keys added for my email and any other critical stuff.

The other option for traveling that might be better is use Keepass with the file stored on your phone, that way no internet is needed and there’s no chance of lockout from your password DB.
