Western intelligence lead to a western nation making a decision? Really hitting some top notch news here, CNN.
The devs don’t give a shit about creating moderation tools to keep fascists out of safe communities and refused to take a Nazi instance off of join-lemmy in their AMA.
Not sure how much longer I’ll be on Lemmy after that tbh
But the memes here are pretty great

Sorry, I never tested it with Kevin.
I can’t believe you’d do that to Kevin.
I’ve only gotten one unironically like that but it was the early 2000s when “teh penguin of d00m” crap was around. So I attributed it to that, for it to happen in 2023 is mind boggling to me. So it helps me to think this is an old screenshot.
Looks like it, thanks for sharing!
Can you link the post? I’m curious to see how that looks on Lemmy
It’s unironically my favorite horror movie, there’s so many references to other horror films for those familiar it’s insane. Such a fun watch every time!
Nice, good to see that community make it over to the Fediverse somewhere.
Because everyone is going to look for it, here’s the link.
Now give me a medal
Here you go, friend.🏅
For having the most concise, rational take in the thread.
Yup. It’s why the only time I play online games now is with friends or not at all. Even then it’s pretty much just co-op against the game rather than against other players. I only have so much energy for gaming and am willing to spend zero of that energy on toxic nonsense.
Skill issue.
Edit: Downvote away, it’s not like this suggestion warranted actual meaningful discussion. It’s just somebody who fundamentally doesn’t understand how the fediverse works and thankfully the comments are reflecting that.
Edit: replying in an edit because this post doesn’t deserve more engagement with a new comment.
@orientalsniper: I know how the fediverse works, been promoting it since the APIception.
That’s cool and all but platform promotion does not equal platform understanding. Especially since you’re asking questions like this from Raddle of all places rather than looking at the info on GitHub or any of the documentation linked in instances (at the bottom of the page above the code link). I stand by my statement that OP does not understand how the fediverse works and I’m still happy the comments appropriately flamed this suggestion.
you had bunches of people getting off scot-free with telling you to off yourself or call you a list of derogatory terms.
Looks at Twitter and Facebook…
Uhhhh… Who’s going to tell them that’s still a really big issue? lol
Back in the day everything was kind of worse. The tech, the UI, having to use Java and Shockwave before even Flash was a thing let alone HTML5. Having everything spread out and in hard to locate sites. Which was kind of fun at first, but it got old. Mainly for me, it was the speed and the UI. So many things were incredibly unintuitive, we look back and remember the good ones and forget all the shovelware that was absolutely atrocious. OH! And BonziBuddy. That fuckin’ BonziBuddy…
More granular moderation tools.
But in the last dev AMA they made it clear that wasn’t a priority. Honestly it killed a large chunk of excitement I had about Lemmy. Without ways for mods to keep the communities free of shit heads the communities won’t be sustainable and will stop growing.
