Gonna be so much YouTube drama from this one down the track, love watching a shit show unfold 🍿
Lots of upcoming bug fixes and improvements for kbin. It’s been a slow process but super keen to get them out finally
The vast majority of comments in here seem to be focused on the attitude of “why you trying to start shit”
But legitimately from an outside presiding perspective, which instances have people found to be decent, there seems to be a heap of Lemmy instances, each with their own rules and vibes, so what’s the go?
Reddit was always going to rebound eventually, it’s got a massive userbase and can pull through a fair number of people leaving. I’m pretty happy with the amount of free time I’ve won back since I’ve stopped doom scrolling Reddit.
Pretty keen to see how the fediverse improves over time.
It’s one of the newest D&D like games out there, so UI wise it’s probably one of the best to start on. But there are other similar games (e.g. Pathfinder Kingmaker / Pathfinder Wrath of the righteous) that I’d start on first.
Both of those last two we’re a great overall introduction into what TRPGs can be like
Great to see baulders gate 3 doing well. A perfect storm of development conditions and we get rewarded at the end of it with a fantastic game. Hopefully heaps of extra extra content down the track to keep it going
For 99 bucks there better be a great bed, amenities and other hotel like services. What a joke
What are these buoys and how are they used to deter migrants?
People hear from others that Lemmy is the place you go and when searched for you end up here. Having registrations closed doesn’t sound like a great idea when most people have no idea about the fediverse
Perfectly fair. People coming from Reddit specifically need to be eased into the fediverse and saying “whoops sorry we’re full / closed” isn’t great.
Ideally if we want things balanced people should be on multiple instances but I’d rather several slower, bigger instances in the meantime until the community expands.
Cheers for the work you guys do!
I don’t think this non profit is seeking to “drive advertisers away”, Twitter and musk seem to be doing a pretty good job of that on their own!
I’ve found squabbles pretty good for tweet style content. There seems to be a pretty engaged audience who can look at a short sentence or photo and happily engage with a comment
Fascinating, another thing to add to the list of worries I guess 😂
Wonder if it’ll light up and glow at night, it’s already pretty tacky so I wouldn’t be surprised tbh
Always a fun thing to watch, trying to guess what they do to further alienate their unpaid staff
Old mate spent billions on this so he can run it into the ground, amazing
I ended up pasting a concise message replacing all my comments, pointing out how dogshit Reddit has been and that I’d rather go somewhere else in the fediverse. Hopefully as the things get now dire, more people will make the move across
Always great to be about to look back at these things over the years and see how it’s progressed. Be great to see if a majority of the 2023 place was filled with “fuck Spez”, exactly what he deserves
Damn I missed it! Didn’t get to see it 😵
Always good to see more people looking into platforms besides Twitter, plenty of great places out there
