I work with a bunch of people who think this way. The even crazier thing is that half of them are also Mormon and the other half is Mexican.
Conservatism, boiled down to its core belief, to its very heart, is simply the belief that a certain small group (usually white, afluent, monocultural, with highly homogeneous backgrounds) has the right to inflict violence on everyone else.

Not true. I completely understand how they are the way they are, and I feel horrible for them. It’s a terrible existence to hate all the time and be brainwashed and manipulated.
But ultimately you can’t help people who don’t want to be helped, so you spend your time helping those who do.
