It’s not that simple. East Germany is still far right politically and votes for authoritarian groups like AfD. The Nazis are gone but their influence is still there.

I get what you are saying and agree on the surface level. But the Nazis that were tried and removed were the leaders, not all the regular Nazi citizens. And Israelis hate Palestinians as much or more than Nazis hated Jews but certainly more than Nazis hated other Germans. And unfortunately it’s easier to see on the skin level the difference in who is who. The two shouldn’t integrate into a single country is my point.
