minus-squarechunes@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·edit-29 days agoHi, American here who can’t be fully sedated because it’d kill me. It took my doctor a hot minute to find a surgeon who could do what I needed under local anesthesia, because almost everyone did full sedation for that procedure.
In the US though, it’s definitely not for the bbenefit of the patient.
